SCU’s Dr. Leah Grout Honored with the 2024 ICTHP Emerging Leadership Award

 
 

Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) proudly announces that Dr. Leah Grout, Associate Professor and Research Data Analyst, has been recognized with the 2024 Integrative, Complementary, and Traditional Health Practices (ICTHP) Emerging Leadership Award. This distinguished honor highlights Dr. Grout’s significant contributions to the advancement of integrative and whole health within public health and health services research.

 

The award, presented by the American Public Health Association (APHA) ICTHP section, recognizes outstanding emerging leaders in the field. Dr. Grout was selected from an exceptional pool of nominees, making this accolade a testament to her impactful work and dedication.

 

Expanding SCU’s Research

Reflecting on Dr. Grout’s achievement, Dr. Steffany Moonaz, Director of Health Services Research at SCU, shared:

“We are thrilled at the recognition that Dr. Grout has received for her important work as a scholar and emerging leader at the intersection of integrative health and public health. Dr. Grout joined SCU last year as a Research Data Analyst and Associate Professor, representing an expansion of SCU’s research activity and capacity. Since then, she has provided tremendous value in her role on existing and new projects in our department and in collaboration with other institutions. She is also a wonderful colleague and team member. We look forward to seeing Dr. Grout’s continued contributions to the field in the years to come.”
