Interprofessional education is a necessary step in preparing a ‘collaborative practice-ready’ health workforce that is better prepared to respond to local health needs” (World Health Organization, 2010).

Dear SCU Community,
The SCU Center for Interprofessional Education (IPE) is proud to have hosted two transformative learning activities on November 20 and 22.
These thoughtfully designed initiatives aimed to strengthen interprofessional teamwork, foster meaningful collaboration between complementary and conventional medicine, and advance integrative, whole-person healthcare outcomes.
More than 160 students and 18 dedicated faculty facilitators from diverse programs—including Ayurveda, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, Chiropractic, Occupational Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies—participated in these impactful sessions. Through engaging, team-based case scenarios and interactive experiences, participants deepened their understanding of collaborative care, reaffirming SCU’s unwavering commitment to advancing integrative, whole-person healthcare excellence across Southern California and beyond.
The success of these large-scale IPE initiatives is a testament to the dedication of our esteemed faculty facilitators. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the following individuals for their invaluable contributions:
