Master of Science: Physician Assistant Program

Biography

Roshalda Williams, is the Associate Program Director (APD) of Didactic Education for the Master of Science Physician Assistant Program (MSPA) and an Assistant Professor at Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU), located in Whittier, California.

As APD Roshalda is a member of the MSPA leadership team responsible for program policy development, and continual program self-assessment. In addition, PA Williams serves as co-chair of the President’s Task Force for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at SCU. The task force was developed in-part to further the University’s values of Health Equity and Inclusivity.

As an Assistant Professor, Roshalda is the lead instructor of the Clinical Medicine series, and co-lead of the Geriatrics course. Along with her peers she is responsible for student selection, instruction, assessment and remediation. Roshalda is the chairperson of the MSPA Student Progress Committee, and serves on the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) committee. She is also the advisor for the University’s Spanish Medical Terminology Club (SMTC).

Prior to coming to SCU, Roshalda practiced at HealthCare Partners Medical Group, a large, multispecialty group in Los Angeles for over 30 years. She worked in Clinical Research, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Surgery (as first-assist), Comprehensive Care (high-risk care), Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) Coding, and Mobile Patient Care.

One of Roshalda’ s life passions is serving as a volunteer on medical missions, both domestic and abroad. She is a member of Faithful Central Bible Church, where she serves as an usher. PA Williams enjoys traveling the world, Pilates, reading, and riding her bicycle. She holds membership in the American Academy of PAs (AAPA), and the California Academy of PAs (CAPA). Roshalda holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, from California State University, Los Angeles. She earned her certification as a Physician Assistant at the University of Southern California (USC); and completed a Master of Science in Advanced Physician Assistant Studies with a concentration in Leadership and Education, from A.T. Still University.
