BiographyMelanie Catalano brings extensive clinical experience to SCUHS. She has participated in preoperative, intraoperative (first-assistant), and post-operative care in over 2000 general, trauma, and vascular surgeries. Additionally, she has worked in a level II trauma emergency department, has managed inpatients as a hospitalist provider, and worked in a primary care family practice. This clinical and surgical experience took place in a demanding medically underserved area of rural Northern California.
Melanie Catalano’s passion for healthcare started at a young age as her father is a surgeon and mother a nurse. Her educational background includes achieving a B.S. degree in Biology, emphasis in Physiology, with a minor in Chemistry, from CSULB. Melanie received her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences.
