WHITTIER, CA. – (Nov. 15, 2022) — Southern Californians can receive free chiropractic care at an upcoming SCU Health Tent Event community outreach clinic in Whittier; free Ayurveda services in Bell Gardens and Whittier; free flu shots and health screenings for seniors in La Habra; and a wide range of free healthcare services in Santa Ana.
SCU Health offers free Tent Event outreach clinics in a continuing effort to serve the community with integrative healthcare services, increase the awareness of integrative healthcare benefits, and provide students with patient treatment and clinical experience.
The Tent Event will be held on the campus of Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU), at the Sports Medicine Clinic inside Building T, across from the University Health Center. The SCU campus address is 16200 Amber Valley Drive Whittier, CA 90604. Free parking is available in Parking Lot #1. A campus map is available for viewing.
The following date and times are available for free chiropractic services:
No appointments are necessary, and patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Masks will be required as the Tent Event is an extension of the University Health Center, which is a healthcare facility.
The following free chiropractic healthcare services will be offered:
Licensed faculty clinicians supervise the chiropractic treating students, and the care patients receive. SCU students receive course credit for volunteering but can also volunteer solely to practice.
SCU Health Tent Events are free and open to the public, although a donation of $5 – $25 is suggested. All patient donations will benefit La Habra’s non-profit Meals on Wheels, which provides home-delivered meals for anyone unable to prepare or obtain adequate meals, regardless of race, religion, sex, age, or ability to pay.
SCU Health Tent Events currently do not receive any outside or donor support. SCU will be participating in providing free healthcare services for the La Habra Senior Week Health and Wellness Fair. The event is free for adults age 55+ and caregivers. The Health and Wellness Fair will be held at the La Habra Community Center, located at 101 W La Habra Blvd, La Habra, California 90631.

The SCU Healing Hands for Humanity (H3) will be joining Vietnamese Community Health (VCH) at UCLA, supported by the City of Santa Ana, in hosing a free Health Fair at the Delhi Center, located at 505 E Central Avenue, Santa Ana, California 92707. The Delhi Center is located on the corner of E. Central Avenue and S. Halladay Streets.

SCU H3 is a humanitarian organization involving SCU students, Doctors of Chiropractic and Licensed Acupuncturists and provides free healthcare to underserved populations with a focus on chiropractic care and acupuncture. Under the supervision of licensed chiropractors and acupuncturists, clinical students provide physical exams, nutritional advice, injury rehabilitation, massage therapy, pain management, chiropractic manipulation and acupuncture treatments to those in need.
