SCU celebrates 100% NAMACB examination passing rate

WHITTIER, CA – (Feb. 9, 2022)Ten SCU Ayurvedic Practitioner Certificate Class of 2021 graduates recently completed the National Ayurvedic Medical Association Certification Board (NAMACB) examination in 2021, resulting in a 100% passing rate.

NAMA’s Certification Board’s newest certified Professional Members and SCU alumni include:

  • Lily Malick
  • Vanessa Mullins
  • Sondra Rubin
  • Kadiatou Sibi
  • Joy Sun
  • Linda Webb

These new Ayurvedic Practitioner Professional Members successfully completed a rigorous education program that qualified them to sit for, and pass, the NAMACB certification exam. Each of them chose to distinguish themselves as a NAMACB-certified professional and a NAMA Professional Member.

SCU Ayurveda Medicine Department Program Director Anu Kizhakkeveettil, BAMS, MAOM, Ph.D., said that “SCU is extremely proud to have ten Ayurvedic Practitioner program alumni and newly NAMACB-certified members playing a great role in expanding the benefits of Ayurveda. Wellness permeates all that we do and we’re excited to see our graduates realize their full potential and help patients achieve long-term wellness goals through ayurveda – the ‘science of life’. Congratulations to all!”

Five of SCU’s Ayurveda program alumni were recently highlighted by NAMA.

The SCU Ayurvedic Wellness Educator Certificate (Level 1) program educates students to serve the community in the area of prevention and health promotion through Ayurvedic guidance on diet, lifestyle, basic rejuvenating herbs and spices, bodywork therapies, basic yoga, and meditation practices.

The SCU Ayurvedic Practitioner Certificate (Level 2) program is a continuation of the Ayurvedic Wellness Educator educational journey and personal transformation into a natural medicine healer, with deepened competencies in Ayurvedic medicine, including clinical assessments and disease management. Students from all schools of Ayurveda are welcome.
