Biography

Dr. Preetideep Singh is Associate Professor I in FHS Department. He previously served as the Assistant Dean and Associate Professor I for the Interprofessional Education Department (2020-2024) and Chair of Basic Sciences (now known as Foundational Health Sciences) from 2019-2020. He joined SCUHS in Fall of 2017 as an Adjunct Faculty. He has has taught  Cell Tissue Anatomy and Physiology (CTAP), Human Physiology and Pathology 2 courses in the FHS Department along with assisting in lab instruction in various courses. He currently leads Integrative Health Promotion Symposia 100-400 courses for the IPE Department. Dr. Singh graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India with Bachelor in Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) in 2005. He completed his residency training and graduated as Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Medical Physiology from Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, Delhi, India in 2011. He practiced Family Medicine for 7 years. He earned a diploma in Clinical Research in New Delhi. He has previously taught Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pathophysiology, and Pharmacology in various medical, physician assistant, and nursing school programs. He has worked closely with veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs for disability evaluations in QTC Management Inc. He has worked with IPEC working group associated with revising IPEC competencies. He is also a DEI Committee member for the International Society of Professional Identity in Nursing (ISPIN).

He received his Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Lockheed Martin Inc, USA in process management. He is a Certified Higher Education Professional and completed his fellowship training in Integrative Medicine with a White House scholarship from AIHM (FAIHM). He is currently pursuing his second doctorate in Whole Health Leadership from SCU itself.  He has been associated with University of LaVerne, American Career College and Pacific College. His research interests include Cardio-Respiratory Physiology, Autonomic Function, Interprofessional Education and Integrative Medicine.
