Biography
Dr. Lindsay Hanson achieved her Bachelors in Science with a major in Athletic Training from Purdue University. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Midwestern University – IL. Dr. Hanson has a clinical focus in outpatient orthopedics and sports, achieving board certified clinical specialties in both areas from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She has additional training in concussion management, complimenting her previously work with sideline athletic coverage. While full time in the clinic, she gained valuable experience as a clinic director and clinical instructor for Doctor of Physical Therapy students before joining academia.
Academically, she was the Director of Clinical Education and full time Core Faculty previously at a Physical Therapist Assistant program which included a successful 10-year re-accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education. She has experience teaching anatomy, therapeutic exercise, modalities, kinesiology, and musculoskeletal courses. She is a Level 1 Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association and multiple time item writer for the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) through the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).
Dr. Hanson currently resides in Seattle, WA area with her husband, son, and dog. They enjoy being outside as much as possible in both the winter and summer with all the beautiful scenery WA offers.
