Biography

Jasmin Merida MOTR/L, ATP is a Seating Specialist and Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) at Carl T. Hayden VA, where she integrates her clinical background in occupational therapy with advanced training in complex rehab technology. She holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University. Merida is ATP certified, fluent in Spanish, and highly trained in specialized rehabilitation techniques, including LSVT BIG, PNF, universal design and housing principles, and pediatric seating and mobility. Her extensive mobility and wheelchair evaluation training through Numotion and AZTAP further supports her commitment to evidence-based, function-driven care. In her role, Merida provides comprehensive seating and mobility assessments, power and manual wheelchair recommendations, custom seating solutions, and equipment fitting and training for a diverse veteran population.
