Dr. Simone Jordan, DC, DACBR, is a board-certified chiropractic radiologist, educator, and Assistant Professor at Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU). She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Human Performance from the University of Southern California and her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences. She subsequently completed postgraduate residency training in diagnostic imaging and earned Diplomate status with the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology.

At SCU, Dr. Jordan teaches across the diagnostic imaging curriculum within the Doctor of Chiropractic program. Her areas of instruction include radiographic interpretation, diagnostic imaging anatomy, radiographic positioning and technology, and the application of imaging findings to clinical decision-making. She has also contributed to curriculum development, assessment design, and efforts to strengthen the alignment between course learning outcomes, clinical competencies, and professional board examination expectations.

As an educator, Dr. Jordan emphasizes active learning, clinical reasoning, and the development of students’ confidence in approaching complex diagnostic problems. Her teaching incorporates case-based and team-based learning, simulation, collaborative activities, formative assessment, and board-style clinical application. She is particularly interested in designing learning experiences that move students beyond memorization and toward the systematic interpretation, synthesis, and application of diagnostic information.

Dr. Jordan is also actively involved in professional leadership and service. Through her work with the American Black Chiropractic Association (ABCA), she has contributed to initiatives focused on board examination preparation, academic success, mentorship, and professional development for chiropractic students. Her professional service reflects a broader commitment to supporting students and strengthening pathways for future healthcare professionals.

She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Health Professions Education at A.T. Still University, with a concentration in Leadership in Health Professions Education. Her doctoral work has expanded her interests in curriculum design, educational leadership, instructional design, assessment, student engagement, and evidence-informed approaches to improving health professions education.

Dr. Jordan’s professional interests lie at the intersection of diagnostic imaging, healthcare education, and academic leadership. Through her teaching, scholarship, and professional service, she seeks to prepare clinically thoughtful healthcare professionals while contributing to continued innovation and improvement in chiropractic and health professions education.
