Biography
Dr. Megan Charlton, OTD, OTR/L, CHT, is an adjunct faculty member at Southern California University of Health Sciences, where she shares her expertise in upper extremity rehabilitation and evidence-based occupational therapy practice. Dr. Charlton earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Northern Arizona University in 2021 and became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2024.
In clinical practice, Dr. Charlton works in an outpatient hand therapy setting, providing specialized care for patients with a wide range of upper extremity conditions. Her interests include tendon rehabilitation, post-surgical management, and hypermobility. She is passionate about delivering individualized, function-based treatment to help patients achieve meaningful recovery and improved quality of life.
As an educator, Dr. Charlton values lifelong learning and strives to create a collaborative environment that bridges academic knowledge with real-world clinical application. She encourages students to develop strong critical thinking skills, professional curiosity, and confidence in translating theory into practice.
