Communication Policy

Email is the standard method of communication used by our staff. All financial aid-related emails will be sent to your @scuhs.edu address, so please be sure to monitor your SCU email account regularly for important information, requests and notifications.

Once you are enrolled at SCU, we can only send financial aid updates and notices to you, the student. In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), your account will not be discussed with anyone else – including parents, guardians, family members and friends – unless you give us explicit permission to speak with them. If you wish to release your student records, you must complete a Confidential Student Record Information Release.

WHO IS MY FINANCIAL AID COUNSELOR?

Los Angeles & Phoenix Metro Locations and Online

SCU students are assigned to financial aid counselors alphabetically. If your last name begins with A to G, you are assigned to Nida Labao. Those with last names between H and O are assigned to Christian Sanchez. If you have a last name that begins with P to Z, your Financial Aid Counselor is Ruth Gomez.  If your preferred date or time isn’t available, one of our other Financial Aid counselors will be happy to assist you.
