Dr. Konyalian is a dedicated medical professional and educator with a strong background in both biological sciences and surgical practice, currently serving as the Medical Director of Master of Science: Physician Assistant Program.

Dr. Konyalian's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), which he completed in 1995. He went on to earn his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2000. Further specializing in surgery, Dr. Konyalian completed his rigorous Surgical Residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 2000.

Bringing a wealth of clinical knowledge to the academic setting, Dr. Konyalian has been an active educator at SCU since 2019, serving as a respected preceptor for the surgery rotation. In 2025, his commitment to healthcare education and leadership was recognized with his appointment as the Medical Director of the SCU's Physician Assistant Program. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the clinical and academic integrity of the program, ensuring students receive the highest quality of instruction and preparation for their careers as PAs.
