Biography

“Let the Beauty of What You Love Be What You Do” (Rumi)

Dr. Hadadzadeh is a Professor of Physical Therapy, core faculty at SCU DPT program where he also serves as the Co-Chair for the Curriculum & Assessment, and Director of Research & Faculty Development. He is a distinguished researcher-educator in the field bringing international expertise as a licensed PT for 25 years. 

Internationally trained, Dr. Hadadzadeh earned his Bachelor of Physical Therapy from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran. His deep interest in Hindu philosophy led him to India where he earned a Master of Physical Therapy with Cardiopulmonary specialization, and a PhD in Physical Therapy with specialization in Cardiac Rehabilitation from Manipal University. His passion for research led him to earn a Professional Diploma in Clinical Research (PDCR), and several postgraduate certifications in research methodology and informed healthcare. He also served as Research Officer for WHO funded ICF Core Sets Validation Project in India.

Raised in family of teachers, he developed a strong desire to become an educator and researcher. Prior to joining SCU in 2025, he served as Assistant and Associate Professor of Physical Therapy for 12 years at Wheeling (Jesuit) University in Wheeling. Before his tenure at Wheeling, he served as a consultant to cardiac rehabilitation unit at Golsar Hospital in Iran, and taught part-time at Manipal University.

Dr. Hadadzadeh has held numerus leadership roles and served on various institutional committees including Assessment, Curriculum, Faculty Council, Tenure and Promotion, and IRB, and at national level in APTA-Academy of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary research committee, EDGE Task-Force, grant and abstract reviewer, American Heart Association Scientific Session reviewer.

His prominent research contribution with 30 international presentations, numerous peer-reviewed publications, and a patent, are recognized by professional organizations receiving multiple grants and awards including prestigious APTA Cardiovascular Best Platform Award-2016, serves as reviewer for over 25 journals, and quest for the best continues! He also enjoys playing electric guitar.
