Biography

Professor Kofi Rogers is a licensed occupational therapist and graduate of the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program at West Coast University, Center for Graduate Studies in Los Angeles, California. He is currently an adjunct professor in the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program at Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS).

As a member of one of the first hybrid-format OT cohorts at West Coast University, combining both online and in-person learning, Professor Rogers brings a unique perspective to his teaching. His firsthand experience navigating this innovative educational model as a student and later as an instructor allows him to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world practice in a way that resonates with today’s hybrid learners.

Following graduation, Professor Rogers joined the faculty at West Coast University and also served as a Community-Based Fieldwork Instructor for both MSOT and OTD programs. His diverse clinical experience spans a wide range of practice settings, including community-based care, mental health, home health, academia, upper extremity rehabilitation, and skilled nursing. He has collaborated with organizations such as the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS), Department of Mental Health (DMH), and Ascencia, a nonprofit serving individuals experiencing homelessness.

Professor Rogers is passionate about advancing occupational therapy education and preparing students for dynamic, client-centered practice. In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his daughter and son, traveling, exploring art, and immersing himself in music and culinary experiences.
