Biography

Caroline Elsas is a Sarah Lawrence College graduate and certified genetic counselor with approximately 15 years of experience in the field of genetics. She began her career as the sole oncology genetic counselor at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where she led provider outreach initiatives and increased referrals for genetic counseling services.

In 2015, Caroline joined Ambry Genetics as an Oncology Genomic Science Liaison, a client-facing role providing exposure to complex clinical cases, clinical application of genetics, and provider education. Eager to broaden her impact through the identification of new genetic testing opportunities, she transitioned to Senior Account Executive for the New York metropolitan area in 2018.

In her current role, Caroline partners with healthcare providers across multiple specialties to develop workflows to expand their patients' access to oncology and cardiovascular genetic testing. She has been consistently recognized as a top-performing leader at Ambry Genetics for developing strategies that drive meaningful growth for the organization and advancing the integration of genetics into clinical practice.

Caroline looks forward to sharing her clinical and industry experiences while learning alongside her students as they develop into skilled, thoughtful, and compassionate genetic counselors and genetics professionals.
