Biography

"The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers."

That infamous quote from Shakespeare's Henry VI, Part 2, is often misunderstood. Far from condemning lawyers, it recognizes their crucial role in upholding civil society and the rule of law.

While that line wasn't what inspired me to go to law school, the drive behind my decision was equally clear—I've always been committed to helping people during their most difficult moments.

Before entering the legal field, I worked as a physician assistant in emergency medicine and urgent care. I know what it means to meet someone on one of the worst days of their life. That's where I thrive—helping others navigate unfamiliar, often overwhelming systems with compassion and clarity.

Education has always been a passion of mine. As a member of the inaugural faculty at the UAMS Physician Assistant Program, I remain committed to lifelong learning. I consistently exceed Arkansas' continuing legal education requirements, staying current on technology, legal trends, and even leveraging AI to enhance case analysis and office efficiency. (Yes, I've been called a bit of a nerd—but I'll take that as a compliment.) I received my law degree from the University of Arkansas Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law, Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Medicine, Bachelor of Science Physician Assistant Studies from South University Savannah.

A native of Arkansas, I spent a great part of my life and career in the Beaufort, S.C. and Savannah, Ga., area. I now reside with my family in Little Rock, Arkansas, where I work as a part-time deputy public defender for the Arkansas Public Defender Commission in a nearby small, rural county. I have previously served as an assistant city attorney in the City of Little Rock, and as a deputy prosecuting attorney for the State of Arkansas in the largest judicial district. In November of 2024, I launched a solo law practice with areas of practice to include criminal justice, veterans law, and estate planning.
