Vaidya Swarda R Uppin is a notable Ayurveda practitioner, researcher, and academician with over 11 years of clinical experience in effectively treating reproductive and sexual dysfunctions in couples. She currently serves at the Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Bengaluru, Government of India, as a Domain Expert for the Ayurvedic Sciences Incubation Centre. Previously, she has served as the Head Consultant, Srishti Fertility Centre, where she contributed to developing male fertility testing standards and standardized key Ayurvedic uro-genital procedures. Academically, she has over five years of teaching experience, mentoring postgraduate scholars in her specialization of Rasayana evam Vajikarana and undergraduates in Kayachikitsa at KLE Ayurveda, Belagavi. She has also been among the youngest postgraduate research guides and served on the Institutional Dissertation and Synopsis Quality Assurance Cell. Dr. Uppin has led and participated in numerous clinical trials in her area of expertize and is associated with several key academic and regulatory roles, including a member of the Bureau of Indian Standards, GoI; a syllabus expert for postgraduate Ayurveda studies under NCISM, GoI; as an ethics committee expert for integrative medicine research, and a former member of the Board of Studies in Ayurveda at KAHER. She is a resource speaker, published author and has a prior distinctive experience of serving the departments of internal medicine and emergency medicine at Randolph Hospital, North Carolina, USA.
