My name is Marley Figueroa, and I am an alumna of the Southern California University of Health Sciences Master of Science: Physician Assistant program, Class of 2026. I began gaining patient care experience as a COPE Health Scholar at Queen of the Valley Hospital, where I volunteered for several years across multiple hospital departments.

I later worked as a medical scribe and lead medical scribe in a private urology practice before becoming a physician assistant in emergency medicine.

Throughout PA school, I developed a strong interest in leadership, mentorship, and service. I served as class
president of the Physician Assistant Student Society and became involved with the California Academy of Physician
Associates. I was later selected to serve as a CAPA delegate to the American Academy of Physician Associates House of Delegates.

I am to return to SCU as an adjunct faculty member. I will primarily assist with clinical skills /exams and emergency medicine tutoring. I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with students across different cohorts and to serve as someone who can support, encourage, and relate to them throughout their PA education.
