Biography

Dr Garner has worked as a licensed physical therapist since 2001.  She is a board certified neurologic clinical specialist and has completed an EdD in Kinesiology.  She has a passion for integrative biopsychosocial healthcare which fueled her previous work as the lead vestibular therapist at a military based concussion recovery program where she collaborated with mental health professionals to develop interdisciplinary yoga and meditation groups for chronic pain.  Her most recent research focused on the implementation of evidence-based fall prevention programs, the use of the yoga and integrative lifestyle medicine to help people living with Multiple Sclerosis improve their well-being, and the implementation of graphic organizers within the physical therapy classroom.  She lives in rural Kansas with her husband and daughter where they have a small farm focused on prairie conservation.
