Biography

Heather Hayes, DPT, PhD, is a Professor of Physical Therapy (PT) at SCU DPT-AZ program. She is a neurologic PT with 22 years of clinical practice. Her NIH-funded research examines how post-acute care setting and payer type shape stroke outcomes, costs, and value. Formerly on faculty at the University of Utah, she has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers, reviewed for NIH, and led national service in the APTA Neurologic Academy. She looks forward to building evidence-based, student-centered rehabilitation education within the SCU DPT-AZ program.
