Alumni Referral Scholarship

Support SCU by referring family members, friends, coworkers, and grateful patients to our programs

You could be one conversation away from leaving your mark with a student by helping them receive an Alumni Referral Scholarship. The alumni referral program permits new students referred by SCU alumni to receive up to a $1000 scholarship upon enrollment and upon meeting eligibility criteria:

  • minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 in all their undergraduate course
  • demonstrated participation in community service or outreach at their prior institution
  • admittance to the degree and certificate programs
  • verified alumni referral

Eligible Programs

There is no deadline for the Alumni Referral Scholarship.

Students with immediate family members who have graduated from SCU are not eligible for the Alumni Referral Scholarship because SCU will award those students the SCU Legacy Scholarship, and students are only eligible for one referral scholarship.

How to Apply for the Alumni Referral Scholarship

SCU applicants can apply for the Alumni Referral Scholarship during the Admissions application process by selecting “Alumni Referral” option for the “How were you first introduced to SCU?” question on the page 4 of the application (See the picture below). The Office of Admissions will contact the applicant for additional alumni referral information after the application has been submitted.

Those who have already completed an Admissions application without selecting the “Alumni Referral” option can contact the Office of Admissions at (562) 947-8755 or Admissions@scuhs.edu to inquiry about applying for the scholarship.

Applicants will be notified about whether they will receive the Alumni Referral Scholarship once the referral has been verified.
