James Incorvaia Scholarship Application
The James Incorvaia Scholarship Fund supports students in the Reiss-Davis Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Psychodynamic Psychology program who are committed to developing clinical and research skills in service of children, adolescents, and their families.
This scholarship honors the legacy of Dr. James Incorvaia, former Director of the Reiss-Davis Child Study Center & Institute and former Chancellor of the Reiss-Davis Graduate School.
A respected leader and educator in child psychotherapy, Dr. Incorvaia dedicated his career to the betterment of children’s mental health, with a particular focus on low-income and disadvantaged children. It was due to his unmatched tireless efforts that the Reiss-Davis Graduate School became fully accredited and was the recipient of the 2020 LACPA Distinguished Service to the Community, Diversity, and Social Justice Award.
This award recognizes students who reflect on Dr. Incorvaia’s commitment to service, equity, and excellence in child psychology.
The scholarship provides a one-time award of $1,000 to eligible students in the PsyD program.
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Open to PsyD students who are currently enrolled in their 1st term or beyond. Minimum GPA requirement is 3.5 Priority will be given to students who demonstrate financial need. Complete one essay statement.
