Dr. Sheryl Berman has her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Immunology) from Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Her Master’s degree is in Medical Microbiology and her Bachelor’s degree is in Medical Technology. Dr. Berman has been in Healthcare education and research for nearly 33 years. Her research areas include HIV and immune suppression, the microflora of the gastrointestinal tract and its role in breast cancer and the role of probiotics in immune health. Dr. Berman has been a professor of Basic and Clinical Sciences for 33 years and has taught courses that range from Biological sciences and Chemistry to Clinical Laboratory Diagnosis. She has been a Healthcare education administrator for 16 years including many years as a Department Chair and Dean. Dr. Berman is a published author of several peer reviewed papers, several trade journal articles and numerous chapters in three books on Probiotics and Clinical Chemistry. Dr. Berman has lectured nationally on Immunizations, Alternative and Complementary laboratory testing and Probiotics. In her spare time, Dr. Berman enjoys hiking, tennis, gardening and spending time with her family.
