Jonathon Egan, DC, MPH, PhD serves as Assistant Provost, Academic Administration, and WSCUC Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) at SCU. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Chiropractic Colleges (ACC) and as a site team visitor for the Council on Chiropractic Education. Prior roles include Dean of Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, Chief of Staff of the Campus Health Center at Northeast College of Health Sciences (formerly New York Chiropractic College), President of the Seneca County Board of Health, Section Counselor for the Chiropractic Health Care section of American Public Health Association, remote reviewer for Middle States Commission on Higher Education, and manager for the largest Goodwill store in the world – the first with $5 million in annual sales.

Jonathon was one of the first chiropractors in the US to provide on-station care within the VA, beginning in 2006, and while there helped write and participate in grants for low back pain research that totaled over $1.5 million. Each of these opportunities inspired and ingrained Jonathon’s commitment to collaboration, healthcare access, and improving the social determinants of health. Jonathon is a published poet, a member of the band YesterKid, a father of five, and is happily married to Dr. Heidi Buchert Egan. Jonathon is deeply concerned about health equity and interprofessional education – these commitments are what drew him to SCU. He was part of the team that helped articulate SCU’s current values of “Health Equity,” “Inclusivity,” “Evidence-based,” and “Integrative Health.” Jonathon earned a BS at BYU, an MPH at ATSU, a DC at NYCC, and a PhD at Walden University.
