SCU Joins Global Chiropractic Advocacy At WCCS Meeting
Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) is proud to announce the return of its Chiropractic students from the World Congress of Chiropractic Students (WCCS) Annual General Meeting held in Veracruz, Mexico. This event was not only a platform for discussing common and uncommon issues faced by Chiropractic students worldwide but also a noteworthy moment for SCU as it became an official chapter in the WCCS.
A Global Gathering for a Common Cause
The WCCS Annual General Meeting is a unique congregation where Chiropractic students from around the globe come together to share insights, challenges, and solutions in the field of Chiropractic care. This year’s meeting in Veracruz was no exception, fostering a spirit of collaboration and innovation. The event was filled with passionate discussions, enlightening presentations, and strategic planning sessions aimed at advancing the Chiropractic profession.
Uniting for a Better Future
SCU students were actively involved in discussions that spanned a wide range of topics, from the most common issues, such as standardizing educational practices and ensuring patient safety, to more uncommon challenges, like integrating technology in Chiropractic treatments and addressing the global disparities in healthcare access. These conversations were informative and inspiring, as students realized the power of unity and shared vision.
Official Recognition and New Leadership
A major highlight for SCU was its official recognition as a chapter in the World Congress of Chiropractic Students. This milestone marks a new era of involvement and influence for SCU in the global Chiropractic community. With this new status, SCU students will have greater opportunities to contribute to international dialogues and initiatives.
Special congratulations to Camryn Arledge, who was nominated and voted into the WCCS Legislative Committee. Camryn’s role will be crucial in shaping the WCCS’s policies and strategies. Additionally, Daniely Mendoza was nominated and voted into the WCCS American Board of Directors, a testament to her leadership and dedication to the Chiropractic field. These positions honor Camryn and Daniely and highlight the growing impact of SCU on a global scale.
Planning for the Future
One of the meeting’s significant outcomes was the creation of comprehensive plans for the upcoming year. The WCCS is dedicated to advocating for Chiropractors around the world, and these plans include initiatives to enhance the visibility and credibility of Chiropractic care, promote research and innovation, and support students and practitioners through educational and professional development programs.
Looking Ahead to Denmark 2026
