SCU Staff Elected to NACAS Board of Directors
Congratulations to our very own Joseph Eggleston on his appointment to the Board of Directors for the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS). As a new board member, Joe will help provide strategic and financial direction to the organization’s CEO and continue to serve on the Annual Conference Committee for NACAS.
Joe has been a member of the SCU community since 2006—when he first started working in the mailroom. Since then Joe has held positions here at SCU, including; Assistant Director of Facilities, Director of Physical Plant and Campus Safety, and Executive Director of Auxiliary Operations and Physical Plant. Currently, Joe serves as the Assistant Vice President for Auxiliary Operations. He can always be seen on campus with a smile and is a living example of SCU’s value of grit.
In 2013, he was one of the first 100 people to attain the Certified Auxiliary Services Professional (CASP) designation. This past year Joe, alongside SCU’s Afton Rodriquez, also presented at the NACAS regional Conference. Joe also has several certificates in Crisis/Emergency Management and is currently working towards his Certified School Risk Manager (CSRM) designation.
When asked how he does it, he humbly answered: “Always strive for greatness, but never take yourself too seriously -life and business are much more enjoyable this way!”
