SCU Alumnus Dr. Erica Witter-Davis Featured in Olympic Commercial

The Foundation for Chiropractic Progress and the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP) aired a Historic Commercial During the 2021 Olympics that features SCU Alumnus Dr. Erica Witter-Davis. The Beyond the Pain campaign launch is the commercial, which begins with the thirty-second chiropractic commercial, which ran five times on NBC Networks during the Summer Olympic Games and reached over 204 million individuals. The commercial serves to educate consumers about the benefits of chiropractic care and promote a healthcare career as a doctor of chiropractic (DC).

Erica Witter-Davis, DC, is a former professional sprinter who now runs her own practice in California. Before the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, Dr. Witter-Davis found herself with a leg injury, unsure if she could compete. The team doctor of chiropractic was able to treat and manage her injury, and she was able to compete.

This experience motivated Dr. Witter-Davis to pursue her own career in chiropractic, merging her knowledge of human biomechanics and chiropractic care to work closely with many elite athletes, weekend warriors, and the public. We hope that her story will also inspire the next generation of sports chiropractors to bring their love for athletics into rewarding career-changing lives.

SCU is thrilled to have an Alumnus Erica Witter-Davis, DC, DACBSP®, CSCS® featured, highlighting the importance of chiropractic to a broad, engaged audience. Dr. Erica Witter-Davis who graduated from Southern California University of Health Sciences Cum Laude and was the recipient of the President’s Award. She is an athlete who competed professionally as a sprinter, becoming a National Champion in the 100m and 200m and competing at the Sydney Olympics (2000) and World Championships (2001). After SCU, Dr. Whittier-Davis started a practice in Redondo Beach, CA, named Range of Motion Chiropractic.
