Acupuncture Can Help Coronavirus Patients

announcements / Amy Donofrio / 10.01.20

An article titled, “Acupuncture could help coronavirus patients, study says,” sparked attention about traditional Chinese medicine offering relief to those suffering from the coronavirus. Based on Harvard research, the release of this information shed light and hope while the world waits for a vaccine.

Acupuncture is one modality of traditional Chinese medicine and has been utilized for many centuries in Asia to treat and prevent ailments. It aims to target the root cause of a disease, emphasize customizing individual treatment strategies, and adapt to the whole-person health concept. With the increasing understanding of the pathogenesis and symptoms of COVID-19, acupuncture medicine has shown effectiveness in helping those suffering from this disorder by applying these principles and strategies.

Although acupuncture’s efficacy is no secret to Asian countries and has certainly played an important role in combating the coronavirus across the ocean, it is heartwarming to see the recognition of acupuncture medicine in the United States, especially during this pandemic time.
