Supervised Clinical Practical Experiences / Clinical Rotations

The second-year is devoted to Core Clinical Rotations/Seminars/Electives. Providing our PA students with these opportunities is integral in contributing to the basic foundation of their clinical skills. The start date for clinical rotations will be January 2019. Each student will complete one rotation in each of the following required 6 unit core clinical experiences:
  • Internal Medicine
  • Pediatrics
  • Family Medicine
  • OB-GYN
  • General Surgery
  • Behavioral Medicine
  • Emergency Medicine
  • Integrative Medicine
  • Elective (up to 8 weeks of elective time may be available to students in good standing)
  • Clinical assignments are minimally 32 hours a week. Students are expected to fully participate in all clinical activities, e.g. “call,” grand rounds journal club, etc.
