Q&A guide for our Master of Science in Medical Science

When are applications due?

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We recommend applicants apply as early as possible and no later than August 14th for Fall admissions.

Will my file be reviewed if you have not received my letters and/or transcripts?

Yes, admissions can begin reviewing applications as they are submitted, but all required application documents must be received before we can finalize your application and grant acceptance.

Is a college degree required for admissions?

Yes, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and meet all other admissions requirements.

Is there a minimum GPA required for admissions?

Yes, a minimum overall GPA of 2.70 is required.

Do I need to take an admissions entrance exam (MCAT, DAT, OAT, GRE, etc.) to apply to the program?

No, but applicants may submit test scores as part of their application if they so choose.

Can I transfer credits from another graduate program?

The MSMS program generally does not accept transfer coursework.

Is there an application fee? If so, how much is the application fee?

No application fee is required.

Is there an advantage to being an in-state applicant?

No, all students are considered on the basis of their ability to complete the program.

Do you accept international students?

Yes.

I have a question about financial aid. Where should I start?

The Office of Financial Aid assists students in obtaining loans and work-study opportunities. We also offer payment plans and have scholarships available.
