Dr. Alan Nunez graduated cum laude from Grossmont College with an A.S. degree as a CardioPulmonary Technician.  He continued at CSUN to complete his pre-chiropractic coursework. Dr. Nunez has developed and teaches his own non-force (“no twisting, no popping, no cracking”) treatment method called “3D Technique” which he highlights in a book he wrote, "How To Keep Your Chiropractor Off Your Back". Dr. Nunez treats patients for digestive complaints, migraines, carpal tunnel, and even infertility. The doctor remains involved in the local community as deacon in the Presbyterian Church of LaCrescenta, as President of the Kiwanis Club in Hollywood/Los Feliz, and as a member of the Verdudo Hills chapter of the CCA. His hobbies include golf and tennis.

Dr. Anthony Pirritano studied at Cal Poly Pomona and UC Riverside before becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic in April of 1992. He has earned additional certification in Manipulation Under Anesthesia. On days off, the doctor enjoys a good round of golf.

Dr. Brett Darrington is a NATA Certified Athletic Trainer whose practice caters to athletes mainly runners, cyclists and triathlete. He can relate very well to his patients: as a Licensed United States Cycling Federation Category II road cyclist himself, he is also nationally ranked in the 1500M and 800M in masters track and field with USTF, and in addition he is licensed by the United States Triathlon Association. Dr. Darrington serves as an Associate Doctor for the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) and the AVP (Volleyball). He has been a Guest Lecturer for numerous athletic organizations, including the Avon Breast Cancer Walk, Moms in Motion, and the Amgen Corporation. You might never guess that he received a BA in Business Management with a Minor in Music (Voice) and certification in Music Management from Luther College (in Decorah, IA – he even sang in the Nordic Choir) before graduating Cum Laude from LACC with his DC degree in 1999!

Dr. Brian K Venerable graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in April 1997. As a Qualified Medical Examiner he serves high school football teams as a sideline doctor. Dr. Venerable enjoys time with his family, Louis L’Amour novels, Kansas City Chiefs football and weight training.

Dr. Bruce Hall completed pre-chiropractic coursework at BYU before receiving his BS in Human Biology and DC degrees from LACC in December 1982.  He has become a Qualified Medical Examiner and been certified in Active Release Technique.  To stay involved in the larger Chiropractic community, the doctor is a member of the California Chiropractic Association, and provides school physicals in his local community.  In addition, Dr. Hall serves as Eagle Scout coordinator for the local district.  When time permits, he also enjoys a good game of tennis.

Dr. Chang-Yu John Hsieh, DC and CA, studied at USC before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in April 1988. He did graduate work in physical therapy and acupuncture "back in the day" when an L.Ac. was called a Certified Acupuncturist.

Already an accomplished athletic trainer, Dr. Charles Feng completed his DC degree in 2004 with a degree in Sports Medicine from UCLA and extensive work with professional athletes as part of the Los Angeles Dodgers Baseball Sports Medicine Staff. As a certified athletic trainer and Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Dr. Feng tailors programs for individual clients and gives instruction in musculoskeletal strength and range of movement classes for seniors. Dr. Feng is an active supporter of SCU students, as Preceptor Doctor and a Charter Member of the SCU Alumni Mentor Network, also assisting with SCU's Annual Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Symposium. His office supports local high school athletic programs through pre-participation examinations and medical coverage for football games and practices. Together with his wife (also a DC as well as an L.Ac.), Dr. Feng enjoys traveling, going camping, hiking, church ministry, and having a BBQ at the beach with friends and family.

Corey Lichtman earned his BS degree in Kinesiology with a pre-Physical Therapy focus from San Diego State in 2000 as preparation for his chiropractic studies. He earned his DC degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2003. He has earned additional certification as a strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), and in Kinesiotaping and the Fenzian Treatment System. Dr. Craig J Gelfound finished his BA at the University of Arizona and then got his DC cum laude in 1993.  He pursued additional studies to achieve his Diplomate from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Practitioners.  His interests remain strong in injury prevention and strength building.  In addition to certification as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Dr. Gelfound is part of the Academy of Forensic & Industrial Chiropractic Consultants.  His professional contributions include service on the ACA sports injury council, time served as an LACC Associate Faculty, and passing as an Examiner for the National Board.  His personal pursuits include Judo and Track & Field, having achieved a gold medal in the Maccabiah Games.

Prior to beginning her MAOM studies, Dr. Cristina Clifford, L.Ac., completed pre-requisite coursework at El Camino College and San Diego Mesa College.  As one of SCU’s first ‘traditional students’ (without a previous professional degree), Ms. Clifford excelled as both academically and as a student leader.  She graduated in 2004 with her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and is now in a multi-disciplinary practice together with former classmates.

Dr. David Halverson completed his undergraduate studies at Metropolitan State College (Denver) and the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs before embarking on a career as a real estate appraiser.  After a successful 15 yeasr as a business owner in that field, he decided to change directions and returned to school at Mt. SAC and Fullerton College to complete his pre-chiropractic requirements.  Dr. Halverson received his DC degree in April 2000 and has gone on to serve as team doctor for local schools.  He also offers playground and backpack safety training.  He enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his interest in cycling.

Dr. David Madison did his initial training at UC Riverside in Biochemistry before graduating Summa Cum Laude with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1976.   He went on to receive his Diplomate in Chiropractic Orthopedics.  As an SCU Regent, he continues to be involved in the development of chiropractic education.  Locally he has served on the Executive 2000 Council for Riverside Community Hospital Foundation and was formerly a team doctor for karate championships.  In his free time, Dr. Madison enjoys reading, family activities, and musical productions.

Dennis Buckley completed his pre-chiropractic studies at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa and received a BS degree in Human Biology at LACC. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in April 1993 and followed that with Certification as a Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP). Dr. Buckley is a Certified Golf Injury Specialist as well as an Independent Disability Examiner, and has performed extensive training in workplace wellness. He has held various leadership positions in the California Chiropractic Association including President, VP of External Affairs, VP Finance, and VP Communications, as well as serving as an supervising physician for SCU interns. Dr. Buckley has served as Team Physician at many local high schools including Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary, Maranatha, Pasadena High School, and Marshall Fundamental. He has given lectures on Stress and Injury Prevention at California Institute of Technology and Parsons Engineering. He is on the Board of the National Football Foundation and teaches at the National Football Leagues Coaching Academy. Dr. Derick J Lajom completed pre-chiropractic coursework at Cal Poly Pomona in Biology before receiving his DC degree in April 1996.  He has been the Official Chiropractor for Nike Tour (men’s golf) for four years and for Future Tour (women’s golf) for two years.  Additional certifications earned include Qualified Medical Examiner and Industrial Disability Evaluator.  He has been involved with the Optimists since 1996, and enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and reading in his free time.

Dr. Dionne McClain studied Exercise Physiology at USC before receiving her DC degree in 1996.  She also went on to receive an MBA in healthcare management.  Dr. McClain is also a certified Lactation consultant, as well as being certified as an ATC and QME.  As an active CCA member, she promotes chiropractic through speaking to various groups. She has served as Team Doctor for various teams in the past 10 years, and is involved in church and other social groups.  Besides all this, Dr. McClain enjoys skiing, running and reading when she gets the opportunity.

Dr. Donald Myren received both his BS in Human Biology and DC degrees from LACC in 1987 after doing premed studies at Golden West College. As a Doctor on Call for Performers at Pechanga Resort, a consultant for the Professional Golfers Career College, and a board member of the Friends of Temecula Library, he is active in his community. Special areas of professional interest for Dr. Myren include whiplash injuries, diagnostic imaging, and pediatrics. Personal interests include golf, tennis, fitness, fishing, hiking, and music.

Dr. Finbarr Mulvey received a BA degree at Loyola Marymount University before completing his DC degree in 1996.  Since then, he has become a well-respected doctor on the rodeo circuit, having been awarded the "Distinguished Service Award" from ProSport and "Doctor of the Circuit" numerous times.  As a result of his experience treating patients on the California AIDS Ride while still a student intern at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, Dr. Mulvey went on to make the 400+ mile bike ride himself, and continues to treat HIV patients in his office as a referral doctor for the Gay & Lesbian Center of San Diego, and at the annual "Strength for the Journey" healing center retreat.  His wife, Dr. Cheryl Ricketts-Mulvey is also a chiropractor who includes horses and dogs among her patients

After completing his pre-chiropractic coursework at the University of Hawaii, Dr. Franklin Kam received his DC degree in 1979 as part of the DTA Honors Fraternity. He has gone on to become a Certified Team Physician, Disability Evaluator, Independent Medical Examiner, and Qualified Medical Examiner. He has achieved Advanced proficiency rating in Activator Methods, and also uses Cox Distraction Manipulation in his practice. As part of his service to the professional community, Dr. Kam sits on the CCA Ethics Committee, and has served in leadership positions with the Verdugo Hills Chiropractic Society. In his local community, Dr. Kam also serves as Chairperson of H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Eat) Day, and he is a member of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce and the Glendale Sunrise Rotary.

Prior to receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in December 1990, Dr. Fred N Hayes completed prerequisite coursework at CSU Long Beach, CSU Fullerton, and Cerritos College.  He has gone on to become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.  He uses this training in his role as Team & Touring Physician for Amateur & Professional Athletes.  Dr. Hayes also cultivates his professional interest in the Active Release Technique, and serves his community through health screenings at local malls, health fairs, places of employment and other special events.

Dr. Hans Wiederrich completed his DC degree in 1994.  He now treats elite marathoners, having been certified as a Chiropractic Sports Practitioner and a Strength and Conditioning Specialist.  In the local community Dr. Wiederrich has served as the Associate Medical Coordinator for the Suzuki Rock 'N' Roll Marathon in San Diego and provided medical treatment to athletes participating in many other events, such as the PRCA rodeo, Ultimate Fighting Championships, California State Games and nearly all other types of running.  He is qualified in Advance Whiplash Traumatology, and serves as an adjunct faculty member for the Southern California University of Health Sciences Post-graduate Department.

Dr. Joshua Samanta graduated from the University of Toronto (Ontario, Canada) with a BS degree in Human Biology before going on to complete his DC degree in 2000.  As a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, he is involved with Youth Football physical screenings as well as the local Chamber of Commerce, doing Corporate Wellness  Programs and Digital Spinal Scan Screenings.  Dr. Samanta is supportive of the SCU Alumni Association, and as a Community Based Internship & Preceptor Doctor. His current outside activities revolve around being an active dad of two young boys!

Dr. Juli Walls received a BS in Mass Communications and a BA in Italian from UC Berkeley before completing her chiropractic studies in December 2000.  Since then, she has added Acupuncture training to her credentials as well.  Dr. Walls spreads the word about acupuncture at community events (including minimal evaluations for both chiro and acupuncture).  She has been involved with the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Foundation, Chamber of Commerce, and charitable contributions to local arts.  Besides enjoying her new baby, Dr. Walls has taken up knitting in her downtime.

Dr. Juli Walls received a BS in Mass Communications and a BA in Italian from UC Berkeley before completing her chiropractic studies in December 2000.  Since then, she has added Acupuncture training to her credentials as well.  Dr. Walls spreads the word about acupuncture at community events (including minimal evaluations for both chiro and acupuncture).  She has been involved with the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Foundation, Chamber of Commerce, and charitable contributions to local arts.  Besides enjoying her new baby, Dr. Walls has taken up knitting in her downtime.

Dr. Julie Brown became interested in human body movement at an early age as a gymnast. Her under graduate studies at the University of Washington were focused in Zoology. She became interested in the field of massage therapy as a way to provide a “hands on” approach to health care. Dr. Kevin Joe is a lifetime resident of Fullerton, CA. He attended Fullerton High School and California State University, Fullerton where he majored in Biology. Dr. Victor Prong graduated from Fu-Jen Catholic University of Taiwan with a BA in Physical Education and received a Certificate of Education from the International Research Institute for Acupuncture Science in Taiwan ROC before coming to the US to receive his MS in Exercise Science from Arizona State University.  He then completed his DC degree in 1993.  Dr. Prong has served on the American Chinese Chiropractic Association and is a member of the American Chiropractic Association.  He is a Supervising Doctor in the LACC Preceptor Program and an Associate Faculty Member.  He serves his local community as Principal of the Children's Sunday School at Bread of Life Christian Church.

Dr. Victor Rafa graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science with a Minor in Business Administration. He graduated from the Southern California University of Health Sciences with honors in 2002 with his doctor of chiropractic degree. His interest in pre and post surgical rehabilitation and functional movement patterns were further strengthened with his four years of experience working with the Hoag Hospital Orthopedic Team. Dr. Rafa has served as one of the team doctors for Mission Viejo Junior All American Football for the past four years. His hobbies and interests include mountain biking, basketball and camping with his friends and family.

Dr. Vince Punturere has a very interesting academic background.  After receiving a BS degree in Interpersonal Counseling at UC Davis, he went on to an Advanced Study of Modern Dance at Cal State Long Beach.  Then he completed his DC degree, magna cum laude, in 1985.  After that, he got an MBA from Pepperdine University.  In addition to his practice in Culver City, Dr. Punturere teaches a weekend Biology class through New College for students who wish to accelerate their completion of prerequisite coursework.  He is actively involved in his community, on the Boards of both Culver City Education Foundation and of Advocates for Language Learning, El Marino Language School.  His hobbies include biking, swimming, weightlifting, hiking, and reading.
