Research

Help uncover the answers

SCU faculty never rest on their laurels. They lead in groundbreaking research that is changing lives. They are regularly published in their fields and often present their work at local, regional, and national conferences.

SCU students have opportunities to participate in ongoing faculty research.

Research at SCU is committed to:
  • Vigorously contributing to the body of knowledge about a wide range of health care services
  • Disseminating the knowledge acquired so that clinicians can make competent health care management decisions in consultation with their patients and in collaboration with other health care providers

To this end, the faculty are actively engaged in the investigation of the effectiveness, efficacy, mechanism of action, and a variety of health, psychological, and sociologically-based mediating factors which influence patient care outcomes.
