Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCU) has announced that President John Scaringe appointed Todd Knudsen, DC, DACBR to the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs, effective June 25, 2010. Dr. Knudsen had been serving in the role of Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs at SCU since August 2009.
Dr. Knudsen started his academic career at SCU’s Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (LACC) in 2003 as Chair of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology Residency Director. In 2005, Dr. Knudsen was appointed Chair of the Department of Diagnosis, a post he held until 2006 when he was appointed Dean of LACC.
Dr. Knudsen received his Bachelors and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees from LACC. He is residency trained in diagnostic imaging and holds a Diplomate from the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology. Dr. Knudsen is also a published author and has lectured extensively on the subject of diagnostic imaging across the country.
Dr. Scaringe expresses his enthusiasm about Dr. Knudsen’s appointment, “I am pleased to have Dr. Knudsen leading our academic programs and faculty. Southern California University of Health Sciences incorporates the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, the School of Professional Studies, and the University Health Center.
