SCU hosted the first Extravaganza Symposium event offering continuing education for all doctors of chiropractic, licensed acupuncturists and alternative healthcare providers. The 2008 Extravaganza was held August 14 - 17, 2008 at the Coast Hotel in Long Beach, CA. The event was opened by Dr. Ronald Kraft and featured Jack and Elaine LaLanne as the keynote speakers.  Jack LaLanne was introduced by Franco Columbu and presented with an honorary Doctorate of Humanities from SCU at the event.
