Join Us at Extravaganza 2009 - Discover and Experience the Benefits of Complementary and Alternative Health
What You Will Learn: Extravaganza 2009 will be an inspiring weekend of enlightening complementary and alternative health-related activities that focus on prevention and wellness. It showcases the career educational opportunities at Southern California University of Health Sciences and the organization’s commitment to the larger community by graduating exceptional healthcare practitioners. The goal of Extravaganza 2009 is to cultivate and strengthen relationships among the campus family, alumni, friends, and local community.
Where: The setting is the beautiful suburban 38-acre campus of Southern California University of Health Sciences, located at 16200 East Amber Valley Drive, Whittier, CA 90604.
When: The event commences at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26 and concludes at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28. Daily activities include:
- Prevention/wellness workshops, seminars, and health screenings for the general public
- Continuing education coursework designed for doctors of chiropractic, licensed acupuncturists, and alternative healthcare providers
- Vendor exhibitions and campus tours
- Alumni reception for the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and the College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
- Women’s health symposium including morning stretching, acupuncture for health seminar, tea ceremony, lunch, and intuition seminar
- Fundraising dinner and silent auction presented by the SCU Board of Regents
