Chiropractor Televised Nationally On PBS

August 17, 2008:  Richard Weinstein, D.C. is the host for a ground breaking program called Craving Health with Dr. Richard Weinstein that is now being aired nationally on public television stations throughout the country.  The program is based on Dr. Weinstein’s book, The Stress Effect (Avery, February, 2004) which makes the scientific connection between stress and inflammation, the secretion of cortisol by the adrenal glands in response to both stress and inflammation, and the dire consequences on human health from chronically imbalanced levels of cortisol.

This breakthrough program for public television explains the real cause of stress and its relationship to inflammation and the adrenal hormone cortisol.  With unique graphics, personal patient interviews, and oceanfront and city backdrops, Dr. Weinstein explains the functions of cortisol in the human body and how chronic imbalances in cortisol levels contribute to food cravings, obesity, depression and insomnia, and to the increase risk of diabetes and heart disease.  The audience is introduced to the time-honored Triangle of Health, Dr. Weinstein’s Vicious Cycle of Stress, and his easy and natural protocol, the 3R Program – Resolve, Repair, and Restore, designed to address the root cause of stress and stop the symptoms.  Craving Health with Dr. Richard Weinstein brings new insight into many of the health problems plaguing our country and the simple tools to help the audience Regain and Maintain Vibrant Health.

The Craving Health program began airing on June 1, 2008 and has been shown in Colorado, Washington, Maryland, Missouri, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania, and will soon hit the New York/New Jersey, California, Ohio,Texas, Oregon and Lousiana markets.  As this is the first time a chiropractor has gained such national exposure on public television, it is hoped that your college will lend  support to this project and inform your students of Dr. Weinstein’s program.

Your students can view a seven minute trailer of the Craving Health program by going to the www.cravinghealthonline.com website which also contains a very detailed list of scientific research references that support Dr. Weinstein’s program.  A  complimentary DVD of the program will be sent to you at your request, and any comments or feedback from you would be greatly appreciated.
