More lab time and fewer passive lectures. Through learning exercises that stress self-directed learning and include problem-based small group tutorials, you'll develop 24 chiropractic competencies and clinical science skills that are essential to your future success.
An early introduction to chiropractic practices. As early as your first trimester, you'll begin acquiring “doctoring” skills as you participate in clinical activities as an observer.
Two models of instruction. You'll learn both the biomedical model used for the diagnosis and treatment of disease and the holistic model that addresses health and wellness. At a result, you'll become an expert in diagnosis, able to identify and effectively treat disorders responsive to DC procedures, skilled in preventing illness, and adept at helping people achieve and maintain optimal health.
Training in the co-management and referral of patients. Doctors of chiropractic can't fix everything — at SCU you'll learn how health care professionals from all disciplines work together to solve problems and heal patients.
A broad understanding of the sciences. You'll be well prepared for the evolving field of chiropractic care with the ability to integrate the sciences, the techniques, and the practical skills of healing in the treatment of a variety of populations.
