SCU is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), 985 Atlantic Avenue, Suite 100, Alameda, CA 94501. Telephone: (510) 748 - 9001. This accreditation is unequalled by any other alternative health care institution, offering chiropractic and acupuncture/oriental medicine programs, on the West Coast.
The doctor of chiropractic degree program of the Southern California University of Health Sciences is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE), 8049 N. 85th Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85258-4321. Telephone: (480) 443-8877. Inquiries or complaints regarding SCU's compliance with the Doctor of Chiropractic Program Standards should be forwarded to the CCE. The Doctor of Chiropractic Program is also approved by the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
SCU has received approval from WASC to offer a Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM), and is approved by the California Acupuncture Board.
The Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program of Southern California University of Health Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), which is the recognized accrediting agency for the approval of programs preparing acupuncture and oriental medicine practitioners. Although some universities and colleges offer branch campuses in California, SCU is a self-contained, single campus. It is not just our main campus, it is our only campus a 38-acre, tree-lined complex, noted for its relaxing, natural and safe environment.
Here, you will find spacious classrooms with state-of-the-art audio/visual, video and computer-assisted learning resources to enhance modern educational teaching methods. These resources are complemented by contemporary laboratories furnished with equipment made especially for such disciplines as radiology, biochemistry, pathology, histology and anatomy dissection.
