SACA at SCU Repeats as Chapter of Year; Students Recognized for Achievements

SCU chapter of the Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA) was awarded ‘Chapter of the Year’ at the annual American Chiropractic Association (ACA) House of Delegates meeting.  This is the second consecutive year that the SCU chapter has received this honor. 

In addition, several SCU students were honored at the meeting.  Kelly Golob was elected to the SACA National Executive board as the National Legislative Chair.  Other accomplishments included Stanton Hom receiving the Excellence in Leadership Award for his work with the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress and Spencer Shimabukuro, Daniel Bronstein, and Kelly Golob being awarded scholarships.  Daniel Bronstein received this year's SACA Member of the Year Award in recognition for his work with the World Congress of Chiropractic Students, the World Health Organization internship, and the SACA National Executive Board.

Daniel Bronstein discusses all the achievements of the SCU delegation, “I could not be more proud of our delegation.  Our chapter leaders Nahdir Pourteymoor, Ryan Garcia, Kelly Golob, Spencer Shimabukuro, Julie Reyes, and Jayme Kizzar should be commended for their commitment and hard work.”

Dr. John Scaringe, Interim President at SCU discusses all the honors and achievements of SCU’s SACA delegation, “Congratulations to the delegation for these outstanding honors. Their hard work and dedication to the university and the profession is commendable.  We are extremely proud of each student, and appreciate all that they do.”

The Student American Chiropractic Association is the representative organization of the American Chiropractic Association’s student members.  The Student American Chiropractic Association consists of more than 6,000 student members on all 18 US chiropractic college campuses
